FRAGMENTS
This deeply personal release is crafted from a series of field recordings spanning three cities that have shaped much of Massi NPL’s life. The resulting works are equally promising at decibel sound system shaking volumes as they are within tucked away headphone and home listening environments. They exude expansive soundscapes, featuring a rich array of washed out synth backdrops and percussions.

‘Power’ and ‘Clean’ see Massi NPL and Rubby collaborate to capture two sides of a multifaceted persona. One is reserved and poised. It projects strength and confidence while maintaining sensibility and sensuality. The other is passionate, raw, emotional. A cathartic experience that manifests itself on the dancefloor. Both use Rubby’s voice as an instrument through lyrics and subtly weaved into sounds of synths and percussions.
